Four deadlines really hurt when missed: 6 months to reject an inheritance (after that you inherit with the benefit of inventory but can no longer reject), 6 months to file SD-Z2 (without it the closest family loses the tax exemption), 12 months for the funeral benefit and 12 months for an unpaid ZUS benefit. Registering the death has a 3-day deadline, but the funeral home usually handles it. The inheritance proceedings themselves have no deadline.
